Dr. Kim’s Message for TECM Students

As Chair of the Technical Communication Department, I want to make sure all of our students know that every TECM course will be 100% online in Canvas for the remainder of the spring semester. Classes start again on Monday, March 23, for those who were enrolled in on campus courses.

It's probably been frustrating and confusing as you wonder and wait to hear how things will work.

I promise that TECM instructors have been working hard over the past week to create a meaningful but streamlined educational experience for you in Canvas. People across the UNT campus have also been working hard to ensure you have what you need and that we are meeting all legal and regulatory requirements. Use the resource page for UNT students at learnanywhere.unt.edu.

If you don't have what you need, tell your instructor right away. We are committed to making this work!

For Tech Comm Majors (BA/BS/MA/GAC):

Registration for summer and fall terms is underway. If you need to visit with your advisor, they are ready.

We continue to hear from employers about internships and job opportunities. If you don't already, follow us on Twitter or connect with Oren Bruton, our Director of Corporate Relations, on LinkedIn.

Reach out to the Department at tcoffice@unt.edu or (940) 565-4458. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones. We are all in this together.
