Culmination of 40 years' of work by Tim Montler

After 40 years' of work, Dr. Timothy Montler can finally share the results of his work with the elders of W̱SÁNEĆ First Nations on Vancouver Island's Saanich Peninsula to preserve the SENĆOŦEN language in a just-released dictionary.

Montler's research has been funded by a $349,033 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) aimed to preserve languages threatened with extinction.
